The field of education has undergone dramatic changes over the past few centuries. However, the biggest leap in education only began six decades ago, with the emergence of a new science called cognitive psychology that focuses on neurosciences and brain research. The 21st century is a promising time for educators who seek to advocate for meaningful learning among students. It is a time filled with abundant empirical evidences about how the “brain actually learns.” It is also a time that provides teachers with concrete, sophisticated, and well-researched techniques that would enable them to stimulate learners to reach their maximum capacity in acquiring and applying knowledge and skills. With the consideration of these developments as a foundation, this module will give students the opportunity to reflect on their own assessment practices in a positive manner with these development

8. Understand how tests and assessments can contribute to effective marking and reporting systems and to improved instructional decisions.
9. Interpret test and assessment results properly, with full awareness of their meaning and the ever-present error of measurement.
This module provides comprehensive definitions of test,
