Resilient Learning is a comprehensive program designed by forward thinking and future learning individuals who committed empower young people to reach their full potential. Resilient Learning coaches’ learners at their own pace and in their own space. Engaging a Learning Coach has become very expensive are out of reach of millions of Learners who need it. As a result, it has become the privilege of the rich widening the gap between perceived classes. In a digitised world, Resilient Learning brings the Coach to the Learner at a fraction of the cost making it accessible and affordable to everyone.
A person’s Resilience Quotient (RQ) is as important as their IQ or EQ as a determinant of success in school or in the working world, after school. If your RQ is higher than your IQ then your chances of excelling in school (improving your grades) and life is greater than if your IQ is greater than your RQ. Academic success is not a natural attainment – it requires Resilience – RQ ≥ IQ.
Resilient Learning builds and prepares the Learner for the classroom and life. A Resilient Learner is an engaged Learner ready to learn in and out of the classroom.
Resilient Learning is a systematic process that does not simply tell you what to achieve but coaches you on ‘how’ to achieve it. It is practical, engaging and relevant.
At first, it was just a book. Then it developed into a book and workbook. Then it developed from just physical copies to a distance learning model. Then it developed from a distance learning model to a complete online model. Then it developed into a more comprehensive package to include parents, teachers, and the school governing body.
Recognising the key role players in the academic success of a Learner, Resilience Learning progressed towards developing a certificate course for each critical Role player. Resilient Learning evolved over a period of two years, after exploring market research, current trends, needs analysis and gaps in the Market. Research confirms that Learning must be a collaborative effort where the following person/s must be considered as equal partners.
- School governing bodies, incl. Principals and vice-principals.
But, how do we educate and enlighten each person in the learning experience, so that while they are enlightened individually, they are also enlightened and equipped collectively for the benefit and well-being of the Learner? In seeking an answer to this question, Resilient Learning expanded and developed individual courses as follows:
- A Resilient Learning Certificate course for Learners in High School and final grade of Primary School.
- A short certificate course for parents (Resilient Learning Coaching Course, designed for Parents.)
- A short certificate course for teachers (I am an Educator: It’s not a job – It’s a Calling, designed for Educators).
- A short certificate course for School Governing Body members (Leading Resilient Learning Schools, designed for School Governing Bodies (SGB) and Principals and Vice-Principals).
- Resilient Learning Bridging Course from Primary School to High School
